Now China has implemented a visa-free policy of 72-hour or 144-hour transit for citizens of 54 countries. These countries include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Belarus, Norway, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates and Qatar. These policies are applicable to 38 ports open to the outside world in 18 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government), and the city ports that implement the 72-hour or 144-hour transit visa-free policy can be searched and viewed. ‌

In addition, 20 cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jieyang, Shenyang, Dalian, Qingdao, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi 'an, Xiamen, Wuhan and Kunming have implemented the 144-hour transit visa-free policy. Designated ports in these cities provide qualified citizens of 54 countries with a 144-hour visa-free stay period, allowing citizens of these countries to stay in the prescribed areas for no more than 144 hours, during which they can engage in short-term activities such as tourism and temporary business visits.
